Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as ‘Indiana Jones’ in a new movie.

The 78-year-old actor will make his return as the iconic archaeologist in a brand new movie in the popular franchise, Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy confirmed during Disney’s Investor Day on Thursday (10.12.20).

Kathleen also confirmed the instalment is on course to go into production this coming spring for a July 2022 release, and as previously announced, James Mangold will be directing the feature.

A tweet from the official Disney Twitter account read: “Lucasfilm is in pre-production on the next installment of Indiana Jones. At the helm is James @Mang0ld, director of Ford v Ferrari, and Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character’s journey. Adventure arrives July 2022. (sic)”

As of the time of writing, nothing else is known about the new movie, but Harrison’s casting comes as there were previously rumours of him being replaced in he role by Chris Pratt.

Harrison quickly shut down speculation way back in 2015, saying no-one else would ever take on the role, and hilariously mentioning the wrong Chris – by calling out fellow actor Chris Pine – in the process.

He said: “Nobody else is gonna be Indiana Jones! Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy … This is a hell of a way to tell Chris Pine this.”

The casting news comes as part of a huge announcement for Disney, who used their Investor Day to confirm plans for dozens of new projects, including a reimagining of ‘Cheaper By the Dozen’ starring Gabrielle Union, and a Nat Geo project starring Will Smith which is being helmed by Darren Aronofky.

Disney also confirmed plans for ‘Sister Act 3’ with Whoopi Goldberg returning as Deloris Wilson and Tyler Perry producing, as well as a new movie titled ‘Disenchanted’, which will be a sequel to the Amy Adams-fronted 2007 comedy, ‘Enchanted’.

Lauren Hutton | Lauren Hutton: Sex is my beauty secret

lauren hutton 2219834

Lauren Hutton has revealed sex is her beauty secret.

The 77-year-old model believes getting intimate with someone can be great for helping her maintain glowing skin as it is great exercise.

She said: “Making love is pretty good exercise, too! I think it’s important to be held and to hold someone, and to love someone if we can. A man can be hard to find, [because] I think there are way more good women than good men. I don’t know why, I guess that’s because of privilege. They’ve been the head sex for 6,000 years! That’ll make you feel like you’re in a really exclusive club.

“Sex is still absolutely a beauty secret for me – I hope I believe that forever. Although I’ve always talked [about sex], I never spoke about who my mates and partners are, that’s for sure. Nobody ever knew the man I lived with for 26 years – no one knew his name.”

However, the ‘I Feel Pretty’ star admitted the best secret to great skin is having “good photographers” that capture her best side.

She said: “I guess [the secret is] good photographers. It’s not retouching, they don’t retouch me.”

What’s more, Lauren has learned how to care for her skin over the years as her body changed from age and lifestyle habits and has since become “rabid” about moisturiser.

She explained to British Vogue: “My skin has gotten really thin because of my age – I’m 77 – and because I have spent probably half of my life near the equator. [The skin is] our first organ, you know, and the barrier to everything. So I’ve become rabid about moisturiser, and luckily I have a very good medical skincare cream contract, that helps a lot! I used to be more of a soap and water person because I was always trying to be as fast as possible to get to work. Now, I get the pleasure of trying all of Strivectin’s products. It’s really good.”

New York Dolls | New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain dead at 69

sylvain sylvain 2219683

New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain has died.

The 69-year-old musician – who was an original member of the band and stayed with them until they split for a second time in 2012 – had been battling cancer for over two years but passed away on Wednesday (13.01.21).

A statement shared on his Facebook page by his wife, Wanda O’Kelley Mizrahi, read: As most of you know, Sylvain battled cancer for the past two and 1/2 years.

“Though he fought it valiantly, yesterday he passed away from this disease.

“While we grieve his loss, we know that he is finally at peace and out of pain. Please crank up his music, light a candle, say a prayer and let’s send this beautiful doll on his way.”

The band’s frontman, David Johansen, has also paid tribute to his “best friend”.

He wrote on Instagram: “My best friend for so many years, I can still remember the first time I saw him bop into the rehearsal space/bicycle shop with his carpetbag and guitar straight from the plane after having been deported from Amsterdam, I instantly loved him.

“I’m gonna miss you old pal. I’ll keep the home fires burning.”

The statement from Wanda also included a touching tribute from musician Lenny Kaye, who touchingly reflected on the life of the “lynchpin” of the group.

Lenny wrote: “Syl loved rock and roll.

“His onstage joy, his radiant smile as he chopped at his guitar, revealed the sense of wonder he must have felt at the age of 10, emigrating from his native Cairo with his family in 1961, the ship pulling into New York Harbor and seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time.”

“His role in the band was as lynchpin, keeping the revolving satellites of his bandmates in precision.

“Though he tried valiantly to keep the band going, in the end the Dolls’ moral fable overwhelmed them, not before seeding an influence that would engender many rock generations yet to come.

“The New York Dolls heralded the future, made it easy to dance to.

“From the time I first saw their poster appear on the wall of Village Oldies in 1972, advertising a residency at the Mercer Hotel up the street, throughout their meteoric ascent and shooting star flame-out, the New York Dolls were the heated core of this music we hail, the band that makes you want to form a band.

“Syl never stopped. In his solo lifeline, he was welcomed all over the world, from England to Japan, but most of all the rock dens of New York City, which is where I caught up with him a couple of years ago at the Bowery Electric. Still Syl. His corkscrew curls, tireless bounce, exulting in living his dream, asking the crowd to sing along, and so we will. His twin names, mirrored, becomes us.

“Thank you Sylvain x 2, for your heart, belief, and the way you whacked that E chord. Sleep Baby Doll.

Megan Thee Stallion | Is Megan Thee Stallion on Ariana Grande’s 34+35 remix?

Megan Thee Stallion has sparked speculation she’s to feature on Ariana Grande‘s ’34+35’ remix.

The ‘Hot Girl Summer’ hitmaker commented on the ‘positions’ singer’s visual Instagram clip of the track, which features two mystery artists with a question mark over their faces and Ariana inside a television box, with a series of eyes emojis.

And now fans believe Megan is one of the two singers on the remix, with others suggesting the likes of Doja Cat or Nicki Minaj might be the other artist.

It’s not known when the track will be released at the time of writing.

Ariana previously teased a duet between herself and Doja and gushed about how in awe she is of the ‘Say So’ hitmaker.

She said: “I’m obsessed with her. I love her.

“I was able to work with her earlier this year on this song that I want to save for whenever it’s time again, to drop.

“But I love her so much. I love her personality.

“I love what she brings to the table musically.

“She’s just such a breath of fresh air.

“I think she’s brilliant and so talented.

“And she produces, and she does everything herself.

“I love that. It’s fantastic.

“We did this song together towards the end of last year and I love it so much.

“I remember when I first wrote it and sent it to her, she was in the shower and she was like, ‘B**ch, I love this. I’m in the shower.’

“And I was like, ‘Shower. You can call me back.'”
