Christine And The Queens wants women in the music industry to be “respected”.

The 32-year-old singer has posted a lengthy statement on social media in support of the #MeToo movement in her native France, where she insisted women shouldn’t have to “pay for men’s mistakes”.

Part of her message – which was originally posted in French – read: “I am not surprised to learn that, in the musical world, as in all other circles, the liberation of speech generates an upheaval that it is then difficult to master. Each of us has experienced a more or less tenuous form of harassment, sexist remarks, like all our sisters who walk in offices, who come home late at night, who are from professions radically different from ours.

“Being a woman in a record company office is being a woman like any other. A body in a photoshoot; the photographer holds the lens at the level of his crotch. A body in a studio, when a hand goes up the back, ‘It’s time for the hug break.’ ”

The ‘Tilted’ hitmaker – whose real name is Héloïse Letissier – then went on to say she stands with “all women”, and called for the end of “patriarchal violence”.

She added: “I am a singer. I recognise in the eyes of my sisters what I have known, they have known it too; we all have that little glow. I hardly know of any exception to the brutality of this reality: this is our body. All women, all women. All my sisters, starry, glorious, liquid gold. My sister who is a victim of transphobia. My sister who is a victim of homophobia. My sister who is alone with her memory.

“Let there be respect, let there be a horizontality of speech. Let the voice become again a tool of liberation. I would even say that it is time for all of us to sit at the same table; it’s time to start this unpleasant, terrifying discussion of patriarchal violence in earnest. It’s time to deconstruct it, to dissect it.”

And Christine also insisted she wants to see up and coming female artists treated better than the stars before them.

She wrote: “I would like us to think differently about power. young female artists. Let them not steal their works, let them sexualise themselves as they wish.

“I am the ally of all my sisters, wherever they are in their own commitments or their own convictions. I stand in solidarity with those who speak and those who decide to clench their fists. When violence is systemic, it also creates a family. In silence, without even seeing each other, at a distance, alive or dead, we know each other.”

Iris Law relaxes with essential oils and loose-leaf tea.

The 20-year-old daughter of Sadie Frost and Jude Law says it is important for her home to be a “sacred” and “calming” place amid the chaos of everyday life.

She told Vogue.co.uk: “It’s really important to make your home feel like a sacred place. I like finding a ritualistic and calming side to every day, so I’ll often cook with my boyfriend and I have a beautiful diffuser that my auntie got me, which has different essential oils. It makes my room smell lovely before going to bed. Also, I have different loose-leaf teas from a variety of places.”

Speaking earlier this year about essential oils, she said: “I’ve turned my room into a sanctuary. I have a Puzhen aroma diffuser and doTerra Essential Oils.”

Iris is carving out her own career as a model but previously revealed she turns to her mother for fashion advice and even raids Sadie’s wardrobe whenever she can.

She said: “My black Chanel bag used to be my mum’s. It’s hot pink inside, it’s so tiny it feels like you’re holding just a wallet, and it goes with every outfit.”

Along with Chanel handbags, Iris also loves the brand’s make-up, explaining: “I’m a lipstick addict. I’ll change it throughout the day depending on what mood I’m in, but I love berry, especially Chanel’s Rouge Allure in the shade Passion

Dame Emma Thompson is to star in ‘Good Luck to You, Leo Grande’.

The 61-year-old actress has signed up for the new comedy, which is being directed by Sophie Hyde and written by comic Katy Brand.

Emma will play the role of Nancy Stokes, a 55-year-old widow who yearns for sex and human connection that she never got in a stable but stale marriage. She devises a plan and hires ‘sex therapist’ Leo Grande, a man in his 20s, for a night of bliss.

‘Good Luck to You, Leo Grande’ is being produced by Genesius Pictures and marks the first joint project between the company’s co-founder Debbie Gray and Cornerstone Films.

Sophie – whose previous credits include ‘Animals’ and ’52 Tuesdays’ – said in a statement: “I’m thrilled to be working with the tremendously funny and heartbreakingly honest Emma Thompson to explore intimacy and desire, and to put on a screen a relationship that feels unexpected and delightful.

“At a time when our need for each other is so vividly present, it will be a delight to create and show this connection between two people, which is funny, sexy and moving.”

Gray added: “I loved the script from the first read: funny, relatable, relevant. It’s great to have a female-strong team with such a passion for the project.”

Alison Thompson and Mark Gooder from Cornerstone Films’ also said: “We loved the bold, fresh and surprising take on female sexuality in Katy’s script and to have an actress of Emma’s calibre in the role of Nancy is a real gift.”

Letitia Wright | Letitia Wright: All-female Avengers film will happen soon

letitia wright 2169708

Letitia Wright believes an all-female ‘Avengers’ film will happen soon.

The 26-year-old star has played the role of Shuri in ‘Black Panther’ and two ‘Avengers’ flicks and believes that an all-female superhero ensemble will come to fruition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it already has the backing of producer Victoria Alonso.

Asked about the possibility of a female team-up, Letitia said: “I don’t think we have to fight for it. Victoria Alonso is very strong about spearheading it, alongside Kevin (Feige, Marvel chief). It’s only a matter of time before they do it.”

‘Captain Marvel’ star Brie Larson revealed last year that she and her castmates have approached Kevin about the possibility of making an all-female superhero movie.

The 31-year-old actress explained: “I will say that a lot of the female cast members from Marvel walked up to Kevin and we were like, ‘We are in this together, we want to do this!’

“What that means, I have no idea. You know, I’m not in charge of the future of Marvel, but it is something that we’re really passionate about and we love and I feel like if enough people out in the world talk about how much they want it, maybe it’ll happen.”

Meanwhile, Letitia opened up about how special it was to star in ‘Black Panther’, the first motion picture from Marvel to feature a predominantly black cast.

The ‘Guava Island’ actress told Yahoo! Entertainment: “It was always a dream of mine to play someone that can be impactful not only for black women but also just for women around the world and young people, too.

“To be able to have a combination of people and audience members who are so thrilled and appreciative of Shuri is a good feeling. I feel like I contributed something positive in the world.”
