Joey Fatone has learned to ”give the other person a break” in his relationships.

The former NSYNC star split from his wife Kelly Baldwin in 2019 after 15 years of marriage, and has said one of the biggest lessons he’s learned following his divorce is the importance of giving his partner ”a chance to recharge their batteries”.

Joey – who has daughters Briahna, 19, and Kloey, 10, with Kelly – said: ”Something that I have learned over the years later on, especially being in a divorced family, and even if you’re not divorced and you’re still obviously with your spouse and everything is going great, give the time for your spouse – whether it be the male or female or whatever under your roof is – give that time to say, ‘Hey, you know what? I’m gonna take the kids or the kid or whatever for the weekend,’ or ‘You know what? You go somewhere.’ Give each spouse a chance to kind of recharge their batteries. Because nobody’s perfect. We get angry, we do this, we do that.”

The 43-year-old singer admitted he didn’t understand Kelly’s point of view in the early days of their co-parenting journey, but now knows he needs to do more to help her with their daughters.

He added: ”We all need downtime to ourselves, whether that be either watching TiVo all day, going to play golf, going to a hotel and reading a book.

”Whatever in that sense may be your Zen, I think it does give the other person a break, and I never noticed that when I was younger because I was always traveling with NSYNC. My ex was always with the kids, and it was always, ‘Well, the kids did this and this and that,’ and [I was] always like, ‘Yeah, yeah, but you can deal with it.’ It’s not that easy.”

And Joey now realises how much pressure Kelly was under to raise their children whilst he was on tour.

Speaking during an appearance on the ‘How Men Think’ podcast, he said: ”Especially when I got divorced, I became Mom and Dad when I got home, so when I’m home by myself, legit, pardon my French, but I’m like, ‘Oh s***. I gotta cook, I’ve gotta get them ready for school, I have to make sure the house is liveable.’ ”

Cynthia Nixon | Cynthia Nixon backs ‘amazing’ Sharon Stone for Sex and the City role

Cynthia Nixon believes that Sharon Stone would be an ”amazing” replacement for Kim Cattrall in ‘Sex and the City’.

Cattrall previously revealed that she would not be reprising her role as Samantha Jones for the aborted third film with the ‘Basic Instinct’ star suggested as a possible replacement – an idea that has the support of Cynthia.

The 54-year-old actress, who played Miranda Hobbes in the comedy series, said: ”I think Sharon would be of course totally amazing. Kim was incredibly great as Samantha, I think Sharon would totally make it her own.”

Cynthia also agrees with suggestions that Kim’s replacement would be a ”woman of colour”.

She told ‘Watch What Happens Live’: ”I’ve also heard many people say, including Kim Cattrall herself, that if we were to have a different fourth woman that maybe it would be a woman of colour this time. And I think that would be amazing as well.”

Sharon, who was also a guest on the show, told host Andy Cohen: ”I think that’s right.”

The 62-year-old actress added that she was unaware of the casting speculation but declared that she would be ”honoured” to work alongside Nixon.

Cynthia’s co-star Sarah Jessica Parker previously called the suggestion of Sharon joining ‘Sex and the City’ ”really interesting”.

Kim, 64, previously stated that she had played the character of Samantha ”past the finish line and then some”.

She remarked: ”It’s a great part. I played it past the finish line and then some, and I loved it. Another actress should play it – maybe they could make it an African-American Samantha Jones or a Hispanic Samantha Jones.”

Michael Jai White Doubts Jamie Foxx Befits Mike Tyson Role in Biopic

The ‘Spawn’ star, who has portrayed the boxing legend in 1995’s HBO movie ‘Tyson’, has some reservations about Foxx’s physical transformation for the upcoming film.

AceShowbiz
Michael Jai White has thrown a subtle shade at Jamie Foxx ahead of the latter’s portrayal of Mike Tyson in an upcoming biopic. Having played the former boxing champion in 1995’s HBO movie “Tyson”, the 52-year-old actor has weighed in on the forthcoming movie starring Foxx as the retired athlete.

Speaking to VladTV, the “Spawn” star cast his doubt that the “Django Unchained” actor would be able to pull off portraying the former world heavyweight champion. His reservations mostly came from Foxx’s physical transformation, which he deemed not up to standards to channel the former heavyweight boxer.

“If there’s another angle that Jamie’s pulling out then, hey that’s cool. That’s a helluva undertaking for him,” said White in an interview. When Vlad mentioned that Foxx has “bulked up” for the role, White insinuated that the pictures of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” star which have been circulating online cannot be trusted.

“I don’t believe a lot of stuff in pictures, ’cause when I see him-we’ve got a lot of friends in common. When I see him it’s like, ‘Did he just lose weight to catch this flight?’ ” he said. Noting that he’s “not going to disparage anything,” he added, “but you kinda know how-it’s clickbait.”

White went on noting that bulking up to gain muscle like Tyson in such a short time can pose to be a serious health issue. While he was able to do it for the TV movie, he was unsure if Foxx could handle the physical demands.

The still-untitled Mike Tyson biopic has been in development since 2014. Earlier this year, Foxx confirmed that the project is finally happening, with him teasing his transformation for the role during Mark Birnbaum’s Instagram Live series “Catching Up With Mark Birnbaum” in June.

“Every other day, I do 60 pull-ups, we do 60 dips, we do 100 push-ups,” Foxx said of his preparation for the movie. While his fitness routine has already changed the upper half of his body, the Academy Award-winning actor revealed that they would still need CGI and prosthetic to complete his transformation.

“I ain’t got no calf muscles, so we’re gonna have to get some prosthetics for that,” he shared. He added that he aimed to be 216lbs when filming starts as he plays a younger version of the boxer, and then he will “balloon to 225, 230 which will look like 250 on screen.”

Jason Priestley | Jason Priestley: Shannen Doherty has ‘always been a fighter’ as she battles cancer

shannen doherty 2146348

Jason Priestley says Shannen Doherty has ”always been a fighter” as she battles cancer.

The ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star is battling stage four cancer and her former co-star has been incredibly supportive of Shannen and knows she will ”fight”.

Speaking to Australia’s Studio 10, he said: ”I reach out to Shannen every few months, just to check in on her and say hi. Shannen’s a real tough girl, and Shannen’s a fighter and she’s always been a fighter and I know that she will continue to fight as hard as she can.”

Meanwhile, Jason previously admitted he was ”heartbroken” over Shannen’s cancer diagnosis.

The 50-year-old actor said: ”I reached out to her yesterday when the news broke. She’s overwhelmed with well wishers and with people reaching out to her. I haven’t heard back from her yet, but I’m sure that I will very soon. Shannen was a big part of my life. Shannen and I will always have a bond that is very meaningful. I’m very heartbroken about the news and I wish her and her family the best in this very difficult time.”

Shannen revealed her diagnosis this week, when she admitted she’s still struggling to ”process” the news.

The 48-year-old actress said: ”It’s going to come out in a matter of days or a week that – I’m stage four. So my cancer came back. And that’s why I’m here. I don’t think I’ve processed it. It’s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways. I definitely have days where I say why me. And then I go, well, why not me? Who else? Who else besides me deserves this? None of us do. But I would say that my first reaction is always concern about how – how am I going to tell my mom, my husband.”
