Alan Carr says Adele‘s new album is “so amazing”.

Amid rumours that the ‘Rolling In the Deep’ hitmaker is set to release her hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s ’25’ next month, her close pal has revealed he’s listened to some of the songs and they are her best yet.

Speaking to ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ judge Michelle Visage for Grazia UK, the 44-year-old comedian – who got Grammy-winner Adele to officiate his Los Angeles wedding to Paul Drayton in 2018 – spilled: “I’ve heard some tracks on it.

“Oh my gosh, it’s so amazing. It’s so amazing.

“I said to her, I said, ‘That voice is like an old friend.’ It’s like an old friend. Because there are some people [on] the charts who sound a bit like Adele and you go, ‘Oh they sound [like] Adele,’ and then when you hear Adele’s voice again you go, ‘Oh no, there’s only one. There’s only one Adele.’”

Alan’s teaser comes after it surfaced that the ‘Hello’ hitmaker is rumoured to be considering a collaboration with Beyoncé.

It was previously revealed that songwriter-and-producer, Raphael Saadiq, who executive produced the R&B megastar’s sister Solange Knowles’ 2016 album, ‘A Seat At The Table’, is among the huge names who have worked on Adele’s eagerly-awaited LP.

It was also claimed that Grammy-winner H.E.R. – whose real name is Gabriella Wilson – and songwriter Jimmy Napes, who is best known for working with British stars Sam Smith and Stormzy, have contributed to the record.

The ‘Set Fire to the Rain” hitmaker is a massive Beyoncé fan and there were “whispers” that they could team up on a duet.

On her love of the ‘Crazy in Love’ hitmaker, Adele previously gushed: “Anyone who knows me knows that my main priority in life outside of my child is Beyoncé.”

Meanwhile, Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain revealed he worked on Adele’s new music last month.

The 53-year-old session musician – who has played for the likes of late music legend David Bowie, Sir Elton John and Bob Dylan – recorded some drum parts for the new LP and got “chills” hearing her “powerful and emotive” voice.

The ’Skyfall’ hitmaker has “been pouring her heart and soul” into the new record and found music “like therapy” after the end of her marriage to Simon Konecki in 2019.

A source said previously: “Adele is pouring her heart and soul into this record, including how she feels post-divorce

“She’s been a fan of Raphael since she was a teenager and loves his back catalogue. She wants her next album to be full of soul, with a more eclectic sound.”

Jennifer Lopez | Jennifer Lopez shuts down troll who accuses her of having ‘tons’ of Botox

jennifer lopez c instagram 2221188

Jennifer Lopez shut down a troll who accused her of getting Botox.

The JLo Beauty founder has made it clear she has never injected her skin several times and hilariously told an Instagram user to try being “more positive and kind to others” if they want to say “youthful”.

The troll commented on a video of the 51-year-old singer-and-actress showing the results of her JLo Glow Multitasking Serum mask.

They wrote: “You definitely have Botox. And tons of it.”

Jennifer replied: “LOL that’s just my face!! for the 500 millionth time…I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!! Just saying.

“Get you some JLO Beauty and feel beautiful in your own skin!! And here is another JLO Beauty secret: try spending your time being more positive, kind and uplifting of others. “Don’t spend your time trying to bring others down that will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!! Sending you love. #beautyfromtheinsideout #beautyhasnoexpirationdate. (sic)”

The ‘Waiting For Tonight’ hitmaker – who unveiled her eponymous beauty brand earlier this month – recently insisted her glowing complexion is not the result of Botox and she will hold off turning to “the needles” for as long as she can by using the best products.

Jennifer was involved in the creation of every piece in the range, including the That JLo Glow Serum, which took 20 attempts to get right.

And the ‘In The Morning’ singer insisted she would never put out skincare that she didn’t believe in under her own name.

She said: “I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing.

“I’m more about a natural approach to skincare. Whatever topical I use has to be somewhat natural, but I want them to work. I want the hyaluronic acid in there. I want the things that are going to help, because I don’t want to have to go to the needles at some point. I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet.”

The line is comprised of eight products in total – which come in rose gold packaging inspired by Jennifer’s favourite brand Cartier – with prices ranging between $18 (face mask) and $79 for the That JLo Glow serum.

The ‘Made in Manhattan’ star – who is constantly asked what the secret to her ageless appearance is – also revealed that she has olive oil to thank for her radiant glow.

She said: “This has been something I’ve been thinking about for maybe the past 20 years.

“I was just, like, I have to do skincare because the number one question, no matter where I went – if I was filming a movie, music, or whatever – was, What are you doing for your skin? And as I got more mature, the question came even more frequently.”

Jason Williamson | Sleaford Mods brand Idles as ‘harmless idiots’

sleaford mods 2220919

Sleaford Mods’ Jason Williamson has branded Idles “harmless idiots”.

The outspoken rocker previously accused the punk band of class appropriation, prompting their frontman Joe Talbot to hit back and call him a bully, and now Jason has taken their feud further with an apparent-swipe at the group in ‘Nudge It’, a song on their new album ‘Spare Ribs’, in which he sings about being “stood outside a high rise, trying to act like you’re gangsta”.

And though he claimed to feel “a bit bad” about the feud, Jason insisted his rivals need to be in the firing line because of their “terrible” music.

He said: “I do feel a bit bad because they’re harmless idiots really, like a UK Foo Fighters.

“When Joe called me a bully I sat back and thought about it for about two minutes, but then they released their new album and I thought, ‘No, this is terrible.’ You can’t come out with s*** and get away with it all the time.”

Jason is never shy to voice his opinions and has previously mocked the likes of Kasabian and Blur’s Alex James, so he doesn’t mind when his own critics hit out.

He said: “Oh God, loads. Ten bob billionaire, poseur, fake working class . . . the usual crap. You can attribute my outpourings to jealousy and bitterness, but it’s all part of the game.”

Sleaford Mods previously accused Noel Gallagher of selling out, prompting the former Oasis rocker to hit back with a “brilliant” tirade, describing the band as “just two guys, one clearly mentally ill, who’s just shouting . . . about f****** cider and f****** s*** chicken”.

Jason said of Noel’s rant: “That was brilliant. He also compared me to the Brown Bottle from Viz comic. I felt like he really got it.”

Phil Spector | Phil Spector dies aged 81 of coronavirus complications

phil spector 2221020

Phil Spector has died aged 81 of coronavirus complications.

The legendary music producer – who worked with some of the world’s biggest artists including Tina Turner, The Beatles and The Ramones and was the creator of The Wall of Sound music production formula – passed away on Saturday (16.01.21), four weeks after he was diagnosed with the virus.

Spector was serving a 19-year sentence in prison for the murder of Lana Clarkson when he passed away. He was diagnosed with the virus a month ago and had received treatment in hospital before being returned to the prison after recovering well. However, he had reportedly been complaining of trouble breathing and was rushed back to hospital, where he passed away, TMZ reports.

He started his career in high school, where he produced the song ‘To Know Him is To Love Him’, by the Teddy Bears. After that, he went on to produce a number of hit songs including ‘You Lost that Lovin’ Feeling’, ‘Unchained Melody’ and ‘You’re My Soul and Inspiration’ by The Righteous Brothers as well as ‘Be My Baby’ by The Ronettes and The Crystals’ ‘He’s a Rebel’. He also worked a lot with The Beatles and produced their final album, ‘Let It Be’, including the title track and ‘The Long and Winding Road’, as well as some of John Lennon‘s solo work including ‘Instant Karma’ and ‘Imagine’.

However, he was most well known for creating the Wall of Sound technique, which he had described as the “Wagnerian approach to rock ‘n’ roll”. It led him to be inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
