Georgia May Jagger has signed to CAA Fashion.

The 29-year-old model-and-designer – who is the daughter of Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall – has joined the creative artist agency with clients including Claudia Schiffer, Alessandra Ambrosio, Elsa Hosk, Winnie Harlow and Kate Upton.

The catwalk beauty launched her modelling career in 2008, when she signed to Independent Models, and she is currently represented by TESS Model Management.

Since making her debut at Chanel’s Resort 2011 show, Georgia has walked the runway for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Versace, Fendi, Tom Ford and Louis Vuitton.

She has also designed collections with Volcom and Mulberry.

And Georgia is an avid campaigner for sustainability in the fashion industry.

In September, Halima Aden hailed her as an inspiration to her due to her environmental and sustainability work.

The 23-year-old Somali-American supermodel – who has recently quit catwalks – revealed she wants to create her own charity projects and initiatives and she is constantly impressed by Georgia’s own work such as her ambassadorial role with Project 0, an initiative created to protect and clean up the world’s oceans.

She said: “Since I was a little girl, I always looked closest to the women around me for inspiration. Growing up, that was my mom. As I grew older, my girlfriends. Now, it’s the women I work with, including the other Pandora muses. All the girls have one thing or another that I can look at and be like, ‘Wow, this is something that I want to learn.’ Whether it’s Georgia [May Jagger], with all that she’s passionate about in terms of sustainability and the work she does to protect the oceans, Larsen [Thompson] with her tech talk videos, or Margaret [Zhang] being a voice and an advocate for the women of China.”

Patrick Dempsey will return for the ‘Enchanted’ sequel.

The 55-year-old actor has confirmed that he will reprise his role as Robert Philip in the follow-up to the 2007 Disney film, ‘Disenchanted’, which is set to be released on streaming service Disney+.

Speaking on ‘Good Morning America’ on Thursday (14.01.21), Patrick said: “I just got the script for the second movie. Then I’m starting to go through and get notes together.”

The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star also hinted that the sequel could begin filming in the spring.

Patrick said: “There’s talk that we’ll start shooting that in the spring, which is exciting.”

He was also full of praise for co-star Amy Adams who played his romantic interest – fairytale princess Giselle – in the original movie.

Dempsey remarked: “Amy Adams is so amazing in that film. It was a fun project to be a part of.

Adam Shankman will direct the new film while it has been suggested that James Marsden will return as Prince Edward, even though he previously expressed concern about the moving taking so long to come to fruition.

The 47-year-old star said: “They’ve been talking about making that movie for a while but I hope so, I hope we make it.

“We’ve been fooled before that it was gonna happen, it didn’t happen. We should do it before we get too long in the tooth.”

Meanwhile, Patrick explained that he is pleased to be recognised by people having played some notable roles in his career.

He explained: “Everyone’s really familiar with you. It’s like living in a small town because everybody knows you. You don’t necessarily know them, but they come up to you with such warmth and with great memory.”

Lauren Hutton | Lauren Hutton: Sex is my beauty secret

lauren hutton 2219834

Lauren Hutton has revealed sex is her beauty secret.

The 77-year-old model believes getting intimate with someone can be great for helping her maintain glowing skin as it is great exercise.

She said: “Making love is pretty good exercise, too! I think it’s important to be held and to hold someone, and to love someone if we can. A man can be hard to find, [because] I think there are way more good women than good men. I don’t know why, I guess that’s because of privilege. They’ve been the head sex for 6,000 years! That’ll make you feel like you’re in a really exclusive club.

“Sex is still absolutely a beauty secret for me – I hope I believe that forever. Although I’ve always talked [about sex], I never spoke about who my mates and partners are, that’s for sure. Nobody ever knew the man I lived with for 26 years – no one knew his name.”

However, the ‘I Feel Pretty’ star admitted the best secret to great skin is having “good photographers” that capture her best side.

She said: “I guess [the secret is] good photographers. It’s not retouching, they don’t retouch me.”

What’s more, Lauren has learned how to care for her skin over the years as her body changed from age and lifestyle habits and has since become “rabid” about moisturiser.

She explained to British Vogue: “My skin has gotten really thin because of my age – I’m 77 – and because I have spent probably half of my life near the equator. [The skin is] our first organ, you know, and the barrier to everything. So I’ve become rabid about moisturiser, and luckily I have a very good medical skincare cream contract, that helps a lot! I used to be more of a soap and water person because I was always trying to be as fast as possible to get to work. Now, I get the pleasure of trying all of Strivectin’s products. It’s really good.”

New York Dolls | New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain dead at 69

sylvain sylvain 2219683

New York Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain has died.

The 69-year-old musician – who was an original member of the band and stayed with them until they split for a second time in 2012 – had been battling cancer for over two years but passed away on Wednesday (13.01.21).

A statement shared on his Facebook page by his wife, Wanda O’Kelley Mizrahi, read: As most of you know, Sylvain battled cancer for the past two and 1/2 years.

“Though he fought it valiantly, yesterday he passed away from this disease.

“While we grieve his loss, we know that he is finally at peace and out of pain. Please crank up his music, light a candle, say a prayer and let’s send this beautiful doll on his way.”

The band’s frontman, David Johansen, has also paid tribute to his “best friend”.

He wrote on Instagram: “My best friend for so many years, I can still remember the first time I saw him bop into the rehearsal space/bicycle shop with his carpetbag and guitar straight from the plane after having been deported from Amsterdam, I instantly loved him.

“I’m gonna miss you old pal. I’ll keep the home fires burning.”

The statement from Wanda also included a touching tribute from musician Lenny Kaye, who touchingly reflected on the life of the “lynchpin” of the group.

Lenny wrote: “Syl loved rock and roll.

“His onstage joy, his radiant smile as he chopped at his guitar, revealed the sense of wonder he must have felt at the age of 10, emigrating from his native Cairo with his family in 1961, the ship pulling into New York Harbor and seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time.”

“His role in the band was as lynchpin, keeping the revolving satellites of his bandmates in precision.

“Though he tried valiantly to keep the band going, in the end the Dolls’ moral fable overwhelmed them, not before seeding an influence that would engender many rock generations yet to come.

“The New York Dolls heralded the future, made it easy to dance to.

“From the time I first saw their poster appear on the wall of Village Oldies in 1972, advertising a residency at the Mercer Hotel up the street, throughout their meteoric ascent and shooting star flame-out, the New York Dolls were the heated core of this music we hail, the band that makes you want to form a band.

“Syl never stopped. In his solo lifeline, he was welcomed all over the world, from England to Japan, but most of all the rock dens of New York City, which is where I caught up with him a couple of years ago at the Bowery Electric. Still Syl. His corkscrew curls, tireless bounce, exulting in living his dream, asking the crowd to sing along, and so we will. His twin names, mirrored, becomes us.

“Thank you Sylvain x 2, for your heart, belief, and the way you whacked that E chord. Sleep Baby Doll.
